Expert conferences provide an opportunity to identify common ground and isolate the technical reasons for disagreement. Preparation may involve checking source material, comparing methods and identifying assumptions that lead to different opinions.
Participation and any joint report are scoped to the matter and applicable directions. The expert retains responsibility for an independent opinion; agreement is not an objective at the expense of the evidence.
