Isolating lens effects from source camera identification using sensor pattern noise

Research separating contributions from camera optics and sensor behaviour when evaluating image-source characteristics.

Richard Matthews

Distinguishing lens and sensor contributions

This study examines the contributions of the optical system and sensor dark current to sensor-pattern-noise measurements. Its experimental design compares integrated lenses and a pinhole lens across three image sensors.

The university record provides the abstract and publisher link. This is a separate publication from Determining image sensor temperature using dark current and An analysis of optical contributions to a photo-sensor’s ballistic fingerprints.

It forms part of Dr Richard Matthews’ image-forensics research before the incorporation of RHEM Labs Pty Ltd.
